Remuneration
You are now required to report remuneration approved and paid from both the current stage of the job as well as previous stages of the job. For example the 5602/5603 for a CVL that has transitioned from a VA will report the remuneration approved and paid as follows:
I have had fees approved but they are not reporting in the wizard?
You need to enter your fee approvals via Financials > WIP and Fees > Add/View Fees Approvals
You need to click on the appointment type of the approval being entered before adding the fee approval
I have prepared an Accounts Payable (AP) for fees and disbursements but they are not showing up in my 5602/5603
Only fees and disbursements actually paid will report on the Form 5602/5603.
How do I get my VA fees and disbursements to report as VA Remuneration and disbursements columns in my transitioned (eg: CVL) job Form 5602/5603 if they were not paid during the VA period?
If your VA fees are being paid during the Transitioned (eg:CVL) period you should have created an Account Payable for the fees and disbursements either via Accounts Payable or Billings and W/offs in the VA job. If you did not do this prior to transitioning you can go back and do it.
We will create a VA fee Account Payable as example using the Billings and W/off method.
Click on Financials > WIP and Fees > Voluntary Administration > New Fee Invoice.
By creating the Account Payable via the WIP and Fees tab the Account will default to the correct account being Liability to Liquidator: Fees.
Use the expense account Fees: Appointee Fees unless you have created other sub accounts you wish to code the payment to.
If you choose to create the AP via Transactions > Accounts Payable you will need to select the correct account here.
Now if you click on the Voluntary Administration tab under Financials > Accounts and review the liability account for Fees you will see the amount of the Account Payable you entered registered here.
Next you need to run a Transfer Balances to transfer the outstanding liability to the CVL. Again ensure you are on the Voluntary Administration tab under Financials > Accounts.
Then select Transactions > Transfer Balances.
Click on the plus next to Liabilities (Other) and select the sub option Liability to Liquidator.
Click OK
When you pay this Account Payable in the CVL job type the system will recognise the payment relates to the VA fees and disbursements and will report those payments correctly as VA fees and disbursements in the Form 5602/5603.
You can pay the Account Payable either via Make Supplier payment in the Cash at Bank account (make sure you are on the eg CVL tab under Accounts) or via Account Payables.
