Occasionally, you will need to update the reporting managers and users on a bulk basis in the event staff are promoted or leave the company.
One way to do this for a single user is by navigating to the User in the Main Menu.
You will need to remove the current reporting manager before linking the new reporting manager.
You may want to get a report of all the jobs the current user is assigned to as Reporting Manager/Reporting User before removing them from the jobs. These reports will assist you when linking the new Reporting Manger/Reporting User.
Firstly, run the Job Detail Listing from the Practice form to determine the existing the reporting managers.
Practice > Practice Reports > Job Reports > Job Detail Listing
In the report filter, select the user you wish to remove as the reporting manager.
Once you have your report proceed to USERS in the Main Menu
Click on USERS in the Main Menu
Select the User to be removed as Reporting Manager. Double click to open
Select JOB ROLES -> REPORTING MANAGER ROLES
A list of all the jobs this user is linked to as a Reporting Manager will pop up
Click on the "Remove this user from all selected jobs as reporting manager" button.
Confirm the removal by clicking "OK". The user is now removed as reporting manager.
To Add the New User to the jobs:
1. Select the new user from the users' list.
2. Double-click to open the user and again select JOB ROLES-> REPORTING MANAGER ROLES.
In this instance, you will need to tick all the jobs this user is to linked to as a Reporting Manager then select UPDATE THIS USER TO ALL SELECTED JOBS AS REPORTING MANAGER.
You can update Reporting Users the same way by selecting REPORTING USER ROLES from the JOB ROLES tab within the Users card. Run the same report from the practice and select the Reporting User in the Wizard to get a list of all jobs a user is linked to a job as a Reporting User.
