You have several options when varying a contribution:
- If you have created a contribution without creating a payment schedule then you can simply vary the amount of the total contribution.
- If you have created a contribution with an accounts receivable schedule, then you have two options:
- Adjust the contribution total and edit the remaining accounts receivable amounts to correctly reflect the remaining contribution.
The attached document follows through the steps of varying adjusting a contribution schedule that has an accounts receivable schedule.
- Change the contribution to a part contribution, remove the remaining unpaid accounts receivable and create a new contribution
Contributions are entered for one year, so the AITA rates (updated regularly) are based on a 12 month period. If you have a shorter period you will need to pro-rate the AITA amounts.
