Deleting an Asset which has a Security Associated with it

In the case where there is a security held over an asset by a Creditor, until the link between the Security and the Creditor is first removed you will be prevented from deleting the Asset and the following message will appear.

Go into the Creditors record and look in the Claim/Securities tab to determine what the security is. To remove the security follow these steps:

1. Right click on the security and choose Show Security

2 Highlight the Asset subject to the security

3. Choose to un-allocate the security, Save & Exit

4. At the Claims and Securities tab right click to delete the security and break the association between Creditor and that Security.

Go to the Asset register, right click on the Asset to delete it.
