Claims are controlled by a system generated unique transactions number displayed on the creditors card.
The reference appears in reports such as the Adjudication form.
And in drill downs form reports:
Our reference is unique across the whole database, so you know exactly which claim and which job.
The Reference/TransID although it doesn’t display is available in the data in all the creditor reports (so it can be added if you need it by using the designer).
So how else can you use it?
You can search in the job:
Or you can search in the transaction search centrally:
This reference is also linked to the accounting entry representing each claim.
You may also update or import a claim with another reference of your choosing by entering another claim reference number if that’s what you want. The creditor reference is generally the reference provided by the creditor.
But if you chose to use the system generated reference, you’ll find it can be used in lots of flexible ways that you don’t need to enter or track a separate reference.
You can communicate the reference to the creditor using the mergecode «Reference».
You can also communicate the entered creditor reference as a replacefield in the same way «CreditorReference».
