Enabling External DMS
Once you enable the External DMS integration for the software, any new job you add will have Ext DMS turned on and documents for this job will be uploaded to the DMS.
Pre-existing jobs are not integrated with the DMS. You may turn on external DMS integration as detailed here. to enable pre-existing jobs.
Note
If the existing folder structure of a pre-existing jobs does not match the DMS categories, documents will be filed in the "Fail over" category.
Scanning
Two bring in pre-existing documents to the DMS that are two scanning methods:
Document management tab > Document Scan
This is how you scan documents that are in the file system but not referenced in Document management.
You may use the "Scan" feature to scan through a job's document folders to add any document that do not currently existing in Document management.
Confirm the scan.

These documents are already referenced in the software, but they are located with in the file system.
