This error will show when you have entered an intermediary and you are required to enter one.
You will also have entered a valid CAC.
This error usually occurs when following these steps
- Open the BAS Wizard
- The electronic lodgement method is set (Online via ATO SBR)
- Enter the M2M keystore credential

- Click "Next"
- SBR.GEN.AUTH.004 Error occurs
This error is associated with the access rights attributed to the MyGovID, explained in the M2M article above.
Once the permission is set to “Give auto access" a valid credential should allow you to move to the next step in the wizard the BAS document list returned from the ATO.
