How often do status updates occur?
Bank feeds
The statement data is made available from the banks in the form of TXN files once a day. The data relates to yesterday's statement data.
The synchronisation service checks for the data at 7AM AEST each morning, and continues to check several times through out the day in case for some reason the bank feed data is provided late from the bank.
Upload file status
When a file is uploaded, the status of the transaction file is reported back to the software.
An example of an immediate response is "the file has been uploaded successfully". An example of an error is "the file contains an incorrect BSB number".
Aside from the initial response, the status of a file may change overtime. An example is when a file is "authorised". A status response in this case is "authorised".
The maximum time period for a file status to be reported us usually 5 days. When a file becomes "stale" after failing to be authorised within the allowable time period.
The statuses of files may be reported at varying times usually within the same day, or reported back overnight.
