Data Migration - Timeline and checklist for extracting data

The purpose of this article is to provide guidance on the process for the migration of your existing system to Timekeeping.

• Your IT consultant will confirm the storage of your database with Insol 6
• Insol6 with liaise with you on the format the extraction is required, please refer to
• The following article explains how to extract data from external systems using a query
  
  
• Insol 6 will agree on a day and time that the extraction will occur from your existing software/database
  
  

  Note

  At this step you must not enter any new entries into your existing system as this cannot and will not be migrated to Timekeeping

• Once this extraction has been provided the data is formatted and check for migration into the system
• A test run will be provided with your notified contact to check any variables in the migration
• You will be notified when the data is available to go live
