Error occurs when starting the application using Citrix workstation.
The issue could point to a crashed version of the software, registry issue or be related to a data problem for a specific user.
The issue may occur due to having multiple Citrix sessions for one user. Firstly, ask whether the issue started happening when logging into Citrix whilst leaving another session open?
If so, take the following action
- Reset the Citrix session(s) for that user
- Ask the user to login into Citrix and see if the problem persists
If this fails to resolve the problem, clean out the registry
- Uninstall the application
- Restart the Citrix workstation
- Run a registry cleaning tool
- Restart the Citrix workstation
- Reinstall the application
- Restart the Citrix workstation
- Ask the user to login to Citrix and start the software
If the problem persists after resetting the Citrix session(s) and cleaning the registry then we need to investigate whether the issue relates to specific data for the user login. In this case, call support as we may need to look at the database.
