Errors occurring when using the Circulars and Mailing functionality to output an MS Word documents.
The object 91 error is usually due to data which is missing and required as part of a query.
This error (when merging) may also indicate that adequate security or permissions access has not been granted to the user performing the merge.
The missing data may relate to a similar issue to the following:
If you are trying to create a replace field for an address type (e.g. trading address) and the address type is missing, error 91 may occur.
This usually indicates the missing data should exist but the data may be missing (migrated jobs), contain an invalid character or has been deleted.
Examples of data that has commonly caused this problem:
- Counterparty Addresses – counterparties that were created from imported or migrated data from time to time may be missing an address type.
- A Job Address type is missing from the job which is referred to in a document merge.
- The job is missing an appointee. This may occur where all appointees have been deleted.
- The job is missing an appointment method.
When merging from a task the MS Word security settings do not allow you to access data required for the merge. This may happen where you are merging from a task or have a list of recipients specified for outputting the document.
