Single Touch Payroll (STP) - Entering the Declaration Date

STP incorporates tax file number declarations (TFND).

The following link described what information is sent/updated to the ATO for Tax File Number declarations.

The information will be submitted as long as you enter the "Declaration Date". This is the actual date on which the declaration is signed by the reporting entity.

To enter the date:

1. Navigate to the Employee Details form
2. Click the "Tax" tab
3. Click the "More" button
4. Select "Payee Declaration"

5. Enter the Declaration Date

6. Click "Save & Exit"
7. Submit a STP payload.

Note: You do not need to enter the "Declaration date". The affect of not entering this date is that the tax file declaration data will not be submitted as part of STP. However, you can still submit payroll event information.
