Enabling the software:
From Manage Static Data-> Document Settings tick Document Authorisation Options
Setting up security permissions:
From Manage Static Data-> Job Security Settings you will need to adjust the settings for each security role on what rights user has in the Documents Group
When Document Authoirisation is enabled, when you run a document wizard you will be given an option to:
- Request Authorisation or
The document authorisation page will populate based on the rights you have been granted.
If you have Authorise rights, the "Authorised" button is ticked automatically. The list of users represents other users that you may want to request to despatch the document.
If you do not have Authorise rights, then the "Request Authorisation" button is ticked and a list of users that have authorisation rights will appear in the left hand column:
Provided you have:
- the "Request Authorisation" button highlighted and
- tick a user to authorise
an email will be created and sent to the recipient notifying them they have a document to review or authorise. A document approval task will be created with a link to the document. You can view the document authorisation from the task.
