What is Employee Capacity?
Capacity is the base-line number (or minimum) target of hours for an employee.
Capacity display
The capacity main view of capacity provides a comparison of "actual hours" and "actual revenue" compared with base line number of hours called capacity.
The capacity dollars is based on the "Capacity hours" x the default schedule "Rate" for each user's default position.
A capacity is provided for both chargeable time and total time.
Chargeable time
Charageable time includes only time assigned to jobs that are recoverable and excluded internal practice time.
Total time
Total time includes both chargeable and non-chargeable time and provides an assessment of the total time entered against total capacity.
Capacity Variance
If an employee's capacity is 10 hours and the actual hours entered 9 hours then the variance will be -10% and variance will appear in red. If capacity variance is less than 5% then capacity variance will not show with a coloured indicator.
Drill down to detail
You may drill down to each day and identify where the capacity variances occur and how the total capacity hours is applied.
Configuring capacity
The is a very granular way of setting up an employees' capacity, see Configuring Capacity Settings.
Hide Nil Hours
The system is designed to not count days that have not had any hours coded so the budget capacity doesn't distort days that do not have nay hours entered.
