Enabling this feature will allow you to enter batch payments and send email notifications for payment authorisations.
Setting up payment authorisation workflow
Enable payment authorisation workflow via Manage Application Settings > Approval Workflow. Tick the ‘Enable payment authorisation workflow’ checkbox to turn it on.
If this option is enabled, users will no longer be able to produce Payment requests from the Accounts Payable form. All Payment requests must be entered as a cheque requisition batch item and entered into the approval process.
Configure custom approval stages - suggested approach and Permissions
Configure custom approval stages by adding descriptions to each payment approval stage. In the example below, two custom stages have been configured for the approval process.
The "Manager" approval stage is added to the Approval Workflow in the Application Settings. Permissions also need to be set for the Manager Role and are set under Manage Static Data > "Job Security Settings".
The "Finance" approval stage is added to the Approval Workflow in the Application Settings. Permissions also need to be set for the Finance Role and are set under Manage Static Data > Job Security Settings.
The authorising appointee does not need to be a part of the workflow but does need certain permissions set.
