External DMS integration - Enabling for a job

Default operation

Once the database has been configured for external DMS and turned on, all new jobs will have "Enable Ext DMS" automatically set to ticked ("ON").

Pre-existing jobs will need to be turned on by changing the Job Settings. See further information on dealing with pre-existing jobs.

Offices (practices) can be disabled from the integration also.

Turn External DMS integration on/off

When you have integrated an external DMS, you may (provided you have permission) choose disable/enable a job for DMS integration.


To enable Ext. DMS:

  1. Open the job settings

    Select "Job Settings" from the "Job" menu on the menu bar.

  2. Enable the DMS

    Click the "Enable Ext DMS" and click 'OK'.
